Buyer agrees to the terms of the sale as follows:

1. Buyer agrees to care for the kitten or cat with proper diet, housing, health and general care, including maintaining up to date vaccines and proper parasite prevention.

2. Buyer agrees to keep kitten separated from other household pets for 2 weeks until the kitten has an opportunity to bond to their new human beings and to allow vaccinations to reach maximum coverage.

3. Buyer understands that StarAngel Bengals have raised the kittens with love and gentle touch, but there can on occasion be a hiss when encountering a touch or new person.  It is important to supervise when introducing the kitten to new companions.  Do not leave the kitten alone with other larger pets or small children until it several months old. This is to prevent harm to the young kitten. A large animal or child can harm the kitten. 
 

4. Buyer agrees, if the cat/kitten scratches any family member, the breeder is not to be held responsible in anyway. The the cat/kitten becomes upset and bites, the breeder is not held responsible. The new owner understands it is a natural phenomena for a cat/kitten to scratch when frightened or stressed with their surroundings or from people/children playing harshly or grabbing at them. Play should be gentle.  Nails should be clipped on a weekly basis.  It is agreed, the buyer will not declaw the kitten/cat.  Extensive information againsts this process is on the LINK page of the StarangelBengals website.

5. Buyer must have the kitten examined by a vet within 3 days of purchase. He/she will be sold healthy with Vet certification and vaccination. Contact with other animals or humans that are ill can change the health of a small kitten, reason for a 72 hour examination post purchase. Small kittens should not be around older cats, rescue cats or family with virus or infections. Kittens have been known to catch human virus/infections.

6. Buyer understands that if kitten is sold as a PET by the breeder, there will be NO registration papers, UNTIL the kitten is spayed/neutered. Expectation of breeder is that the kitten will be spayed/neutered by four months of age. Copy of surgical procedure from the Veterinarian of buyers choice, will be sent to the breeder.  Upon receipt, a copy of the TICA papers will be provided as a pet. If contract states male and it is really a female, it is irrelavent to this contract.

7. In addition, a $2,000. penalty will be issued upon the breeder of a pet if there is any attempt to breed the pet purchase. By all the rules of TIBCS, and TICA, the kitten will be neutered or spayed  within 4-5 months, when purchased as a pet.

8. If the buyer maintains care of kitten with a less than professional Veterinarian that  makes accusations against the breeder, the breeder will expect the buyer to change Veterinarian. It is therefore understood, using a Veterinarian with undesirable traits places the breeder in an ambiguous place. It is the right of the breeder to consider the contract null and void if an undesirable Veterinarian is utilized.   

9.  If kitten is sold as a breeder, the kitten will receive TICA papers immediately with full registration and right of breeding, they will have a guarantee against HCM for 3 years. Fertility will not be covered. 

10. It is understood, this kitten as pet or breeder will not be sold to a pet shop or placed in an animal shelter.  If as a breeder, no progeny of the said kitten will be place or sold to a pet shop or placed in an animal shelter. If kitten is sold or transferred to a new owner, all information will be provided to breeder. (ie; name, addres, phone number, email). Any new owner will have same responsibility to this contract. It is understood, the breeder has first choice to assist with placement of the kitten named above,  when possible.

11. The breeder guarantees, to the extent possible, that this kitten is genetically sound, and that both parents are healthy and genetically sound.   In the unlikely event the feline should die a premature death, (before the age of 1 year or a limited 2 years in the case of a genetic hereditary death); the purchaser is required to have an autopsy performed by a licensed veterinarian, and the results sent to the breeder. The results will be read by the breeder's veterinarian. (this information is vital to a successful breeding program) Depending on the cause of death, the breeder may replace the cat with one of similar quality. No refunds are given.  All expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Pet kittens will not have the same guarantee as a breeder.

12. All feline, both breeder and pet quality are guaranteed to be free of FLV and FIV virus. They are FREE of DISEASE, including INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PARASITES. This feline when sold will be up to date with all vaccines and a medical record and history will be provided upon purchase. Vet health certification comes with each kitten.

13. This kitten/cat is guaranteed healthy for seventy-two hours (3 days) after purchase. If within these 3 days of purchase you believe the cat to be sick, you agree to return it to StarAngelBengals without hesitation. We will replace it with a comparable cat.  If however, you take the cat to the veterinarian during this 72 hr period, the seller shall not be responsible for any expenses.  If the cat should become ill, while in your care after the 72 hour period, the seller is not responsible for any expenses, nor obligated to either take the cat back and make it well, nor replace it.  Please note that when transporting kittens that illness may result due to stress for young animals traveling and this must be considered and differentiated.  Seller will not be responsible for illnesses or to cover the cost of any expenses. The seller's do ensure the health of animals moved within the same city as stated above.


14. Vaccinating against FLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis-a corona virus) is NOT RECOMMENDED. If you and or your Veterinarian decide to give either of these vaccines, the breeder/seller shall not be held responsible in any way. No refund or replacement will be given. Research is unclear on the effectiveness and safety of these vaccines.

15. A complete medical record of Vaccinations will be provided when the purchase price has been paid and cat/kitten is sold. Appropriate vaccinations will be given.

16. The breeder reserves first right of refusal to purchase this kitten from the buyer, if for some reason the buyer can no longer keep the kitten.
